How it works

   Apply

   Apply in the app. We read each application and approve it by hand. You accept the affiliate terms when you apply.

   Share your link

   You get a link such as https://app.harnesslab.co/?ref=yourcode. Anyone who opens it is counted, and your code is remembered for 30 days.

   They sign up

   When the visitor signs up, the account is attached to you. Only new customers count, and you cannot refer yourself. If a person clicks two affiliates' links, the first one keeps the credit for those days.

   They subscribe with a discount

   Their first payment costs 25% less on a monthly plan and 35% less on an annual plan. A site-wide sale and your link do not add up: the person gets the bigger one, and you still earn.

   You earn

   You earn 40% of what a monthly first payment collected and 30% of an annual one, after the discount and without tax. The first payment only: renewals earn nothing more.

   The hold

   A new commission waits 30 days, so refunds and chargebacks can be settled. After that it is yours to be paid.

   You are paid

   When your balance reaches $50, we send it by PayPal, Interac e-Transfer or bank wire. You see every sale and every payout in the app.

An example

One person opens your link and subscribes. These are the amounts for the first payment, before the payment provider's fee.

The annual rate is lower than the monthly rate because one annual payment covers twelve months of use. Prices in US dollars.

The small print, in plain words

• Existing or returning customers are not attached to anyone. Campaigns can still give them their discount.
• A person who subscribes more than 30 days after the click gets no referral discount, and you earn nothing.
• Upgrades, downgrades and later payments earn nothing: the first payment only.
• Flex credit packs earn nothing and take no referral discount. Subscriptions only.
• A refund cuts your commission by the same share (half the money back, half the commission). A chargeback cancels it. If we already paid it, the amount is taken from your next payout.
• If we pause or remove an affiliate, no new referrals or commissions come in. Money already available stays until we pay it or reject it for fraud.
• We can change the rates. A change applies to new checkouts only: a customer keeps the offer they were given.
• Each Harness Lab product has its own program, links and payouts.

Say that it is a paid link

Creators must tell their audience, clearly and where they will see it, that they earn from the link: “Ad”, “paid link” or “I earn a commission”, said out loud in a video. A hashtag such as #affiliate alone is not enough. Rules in the United States and Canada ask for this, and the terms make it a condition.
